CROSSFIT FOUNDATIONS

The Foundations Program at The Playground – Broward CrossFit in Davie Plantation FL is the best place in Fort Lauderdale to Start CrossFit or Begin at. In this program, we will cover the nine foundational movements we use in CrossFit. These nine foundational movements create the foundation needed to move, workout, or play at any sport you want to enjoy. You will cover:

  • Squats
    • Air Squat
    • Front Squat
    • Overhead Squat
  • Deadlifts
    • Deadlift
    • Sumo Deadlift
    • Medicine Ball Clean
  • Presses
    • Shoulder Press
    • Push Press
    • Push Jerk

We will also give you an introduction to the additional movements we use and the equipment we use at our CrossFit Gym in Davie Plantation FL. These include:

  • Rowing Technique

No proper introduction to fitness would be complete without mobility. Mobility is one of the keys to fitness. Mobility is not just about stretching, it’s about opening up your joints in order to move safely and effectively.

  • Joint mobilization
  • Active warm ups
  • Targeted muscle tissue work

Each of these classes in Davie Plantation FL stars with a fundamental set of movements, moves through mobility and finishes with a beginners workout designed for the beginner to CrossFit. These will be shorter and lower intensity as you prepare to join us in our regular class schedule.
